Special Events
CDHA has several special events held throughout the year. These include an ABA sanctioned Herding Capability Test (herding instinct evaluation) and member herding fun day, Ranch dog gymkhana held in conjunction with the Larimer County Fair in August, AKC and AHBA Herding Trials early October at Rancho Terra Norte' in Wellington, CO. Then AKC Herding Group conformation show and Farm Dog Certification test in mid-October in conjunction with Buckhorn Valley Kennel Club's All-breed shows and trials at the Archer Event Complex in Cheyenne, WY.
Ranchdog Gymkhana at the Larimer County Fair - Friday August 1st
Join the fun on Friday, August 1st at 4 PM for the Annual CDHA Ranchdog Gymkhana held at the Longhorn Arena at The Ranch complex in Loveland. There will be 2 divisions - Novice and Open. Entry fees are $30. Sheep and goats runs available, limited to 10 each. Must pre-register.
2025 Fall Herding Cluster - Sept 25 - 29
CDHA will be hosting its Annual AKC Herding Trial/Tests on September 25 - 27 in conjunction with the BVKC Herding trials/tests on September 25, 28 & 29, 2025). These events will be held at Rancho Terra Norte' in Wellington, CO. Offering A, B, C, and D courses and tests including Farm Dog Certification.
2026 Group Show
CDHA will be joining BVKC the weekend of June 19th for our annual AKC Herding Group Conformation shows. These events will be held at the Archer Event Complex in Cheyenne, WY. Check www.onofrio.com for premium lists.
Membership dues for 2025/2026 are now due. Individuals $20/year Family
